In
our first year showing we ran 5 of our films back to back most
of the weekend with a live VJ performance each day. We used
1 projector and shot on simple flat white wall. We opted for
something a bit different for this years City Wide Open Studios
in New Haven, CT.
With
a bigger space to work with, a 25' x 100' room, the installation
needed something more than just us VJ'ing on some flat surfaces.
With 240 square feet of poly-stretch and an extra projector
to work with, we mixed video all weekend on a multi-layered
non-traditionally shaped screen. We were accompanied by live
music by Exit
Terra on Saturday and an improv jam by 2 members of Hat
CIty Intuitive on Sunday.
